Mrs. Rosenwald has served as the Primary School Principal for four years.  Previously, she worked in public education in many capacities, both in the Pittsburgh area and afar.  

Mrs. Rosenwald was the Assistant Principal at Whitehall Elementary School and a Spanish teacher at the high school level in the Baldwin-Whitehall School District prior to that.  Her career in education started at the elementary level in 2003.  While her husband was deployed to Afghanistan, Mrs. Rosenwald taught for the Department of Defense Schools in Vicenza, Italy.  Prior to that, she worked for several years as the Director of Mad Science, an educational, hands-on science company based in Charlotte, NC. 

Mrs. Rosenwald received her Masters in Education (Administration) from California University of Pennsylvania, her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and also a Bachelor of Arts in Modern Languages (Spanish) from Winthrop University in Rock Hill, South Carolina.

Mrs. Tamasy (formerly Ms. Woerner) has assumed the role of Assistant Principal at the Primary School beginning in the 2022-23 school year. She has previously worked at Chartiers Valley Middle School for 13 years as a Learning Support Special Education teacher in 6th and 8th grades. Advocating for students and families to have accessible, inclusive education is a goal and passion as she moves into this position.

Mrs. Tamasy holds a master's degree in Middle Level Instruction and previously graduated from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania with a bachelor's degree in Elementary/Special Education. Additionally, she holds teacher certification in Middle Level ELA, Middle Level Mathematics, Principal (K-12) Certification, and Supervisor of Special Education.

Outside of school, Mrs. Tamasy enjoys traveling with her family, reading in a hammock on the porch, and cooking or baking new recipes.
