Dr. Deidra Stepko

Dr. Deidra Stepko joined the District in November 2022. She has worked in public education for 15 years serving as a first-grade teacher, third-grade teacher, and principal. Dr. Stepko has degrees in Elementary and Early Childhood Education, and a doctorate in Educational Leadership and Administration.  She says her true passion and calling is working with primary school students.

Mrs. Nativa (Woerner) Tamasy
 Primary School Assistant Principal

Mrs. Tamasy (formerly Ms. Woerner) has assumed the role of Assistant Principal at the Primary School beginning in the 2022-23 school year. She has previously worked at Chartiers Valley Middle School for 13 years as a Learning Support Special Education teacher in 6th and 8th grades. Advocating for students and families to have accessible, inclusive education is a goal and passion as she moves into this position.

Mrs. Tamasy holds a master's degree in Middle Level Instruction and previously graduated from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania with a bachelor's degree in Elementary/Special Education. Additionally, she holds teacher certification in Middle Level ELA, Middle Level Mathematics, Principal (K-12) Certification, and Supervisor of Special Education.

Outside of school, Mrs. Tamasy enjoys traveling with her family, reading in a hammock on the porch, and cooking or baking new recipes.
