Mrs. Emily Mather
 Primary School Academic Principal

Mrs. Mather brings a rich academic background to Chartiers Valley having served Pennsylvania students and their families in many capacities over the last 15 years.  Mrs. Mather began her career as a reading teacher and literacy coach.  She has been a classroom teacher, instructional coach, dean of students, and intervention coordinator.  Most recently, Mrs. Mather served the Freedom Area School District as their Elementary Principal (K-4). 

Mrs. Mather holds a Masters in Elementary Education and a Masters in Reading from West Virginia University.  She earned a PK-12 Principal Certification from Westminster College and also holds teacher certificates in Technology (K-12) and Early Childhood (N-3).  

Mrs. Mather is a member of the National Association of Elementary School Principals and the PA Institute for Instructional Coaching.  She has also presented at educational leadership seminars, including the Pennsylvania Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development (PASCD) Conference.

Mrs. Anissa Rosenwald
 Primary School Program Principal

Mrs. Rosenwald has served as the Primary School Principal for four years.  Previously, she worked in public education in many capacities, both in the Pittsburgh area and afar.  

Mrs. Rosenwald was the Assistant Principal at Whitehall Elementary School and a Spanish teacher at the high school level in the Baldwin-Whitehall School District prior to that.  Her career in education started at the elementary level in 2003.  While her husband was deployed to Afghanistan, Mrs. Rosenwald taught for the Department of Defense Schools in Vicenza, Italy.  Prior to that, she worked for several years as the Director of Mad Science, an educational, hands-on science company based in Charlotte, NC. 

Mrs. Rosenwald received her Masters in Education (Administration) from California University of Pennsylvania, her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and also a Bachelor of Arts in Modern Languages (Spanish) from Winthrop University in Rock Hill, South Carolina.
